Combining travel and one of the UK’s favourite sporting pastimes has proved to be a marriage made in heaven.

The chance to discover new places and experiences at your own pace – as a one-off break or part of a longer holiday – is becoming an increasingly popular option.

Providing the passport to the perfect holiday break for cyclists is specialist travel company and official travel partner of British Cycling, Love Velo.

If you’ve never ridden a bike, or if you ride hundreds of miles a week, Love Velo can open the door to exciting new travel adventures.

The company offers holidays for people who want a beach break with bike hire for a day or two, all the way through to specific overseas training camps. Most trips are totally flexible, simply get in touch with holiday dates and they will match a cycling experience for you.

Love Velo has a particularly strong presence in France, Holland, Italy and Spain.

The Costa Cálida region of Murcia is partnered with Love Velo to showcase cycling facilities within the region; an ideal destination for nature lovers with quiet roads, winding mountains and deep valleys that lend themselves to road cycling, mountain biking and hiking.

With an average of over 300 days sunshine each year, the Costa Cálida is where the Mediterranean Sea meets Spain’s most bountiful regions complete with sweeping landscapes and a rich cultural heritage.
Similar travel menus in Spain are on offer on the Costa Blanca and Girona in Catalonia.
