Cycling TenerifeCycling – be our guest say Adrian Hoteles – It’s been one of the most exciting summers of cycling, with events including the Tour de France, the Rio 2016 Olympics and the Tour of Britain.

Now, award-winning hotel group, Adrián Hoteles, is riding the wave of ‘cycling fever’ by offering superb cycling options for guests to take to two wheels in Tenerife, a favourite year-round destination for cyclists.

Cycling lovers looking for an active break when the sport events are over can book Adrián Hoteles’ cycling package, which includes seven nights’ accommodation (half board), rental of a carbon fibre street bike for 4 days, a 25-minute post-training massage and complimentary spa access. This package is available at all three properties that Adrián Hoteles has in the upmarket coastal resort of Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife. Prices for a 7-night cycling package for two people start at €1,855 (approximately £1,552) at adults-only Hotel Colón Guanahaní.

570337_num1164822Two wheel fans who would like to cycle just for a day or two can take advantage of the bike hire service. From €25 (£21) a day, guests can rent an aluminium or carbon fibre street bike and hit the hundreds of kilometres of cycle-friendly roads available on the island. Mountain, city and children bikes are also available.

Tenerife is a popular year-round destination for all sort of cycling fans – whether they are amateur or pro. While easier roads can be found in the south, including Costa Adeje, where Adrián Hoteles’ properties are located, cyclists looking for more demanding routes should head to the UNESCO-listed Teide National Park – one of the favourite training locations of three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome and many other professional cyclists. Reaching the park from Costa Adeje takes 5-6 hours.
