PortAventura World has unveiled two major new family experiences that are set to open this summer 2026 – expanding the offer at both PortAventura Park and Caribe Aquatic Park.
The new attractions, “Coral Bay, The Lost Legend” and “Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek”, are designed to combine adventure, immersion and fun for all ages, reinforcing PortAventura World’s position as one of Europe’s leading family leisure destinations.
“Coral Bay, The Lost Legend” will be a new 6,000 m² family area at Caribe Aquatic Park. Inspired by a legendary pirate bay, the new zone strengthens the holiday park’s position as one of Europe’s top family water parks.
Meanwhile, “Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek” will open in the Polynesia area of PortAventura Park as a new outdoor adventure trail.
The experience, inspired by Polynesian mythology, invites visitors to explore the heart of the jungle through elevated walkways, hanging bridges and nature-integrated challenges for children and adults.
Fernando Aldecoa, CEO of PortAventura World, commented: “At PortAventura World, we continue to evolve our offer to deliver increasingly memorable experiences.
“We listen closely to our guests, and the new attractions launching in 2026 reflect our commitment to surprising them and creating unique experiences for visitors of all ages.”
Both attractions will open to the public in summer 2026 and form part of the resort’s broader growth strategy, strengthening its leadership in European family and leisure tourism.
• PortAventura World Parks & Resort is one of Europe’s largest family holiday and leisure destinations. With more than 30 years of history, it has welcomed over 100 million visitors.
Located close to Barcelona, the resort operates five 4-star themed hotels and one 5-star hotel (PortAventura Hotels), as well as four additional hotels under Ponient Hotels, offering more than 3,300 rooms in total.
