easyJet has launched four new services between Newcastle Airport and Reus, Tenerife, Prague, and Sharm el-Sheikh, offering a range of new destinations for customers in the North East to explore.
Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle Airport, said: “The launch of easyJet’s new routes marks another significant milestone in the airline’s continued growth at Newcastle Airport following the opening of its new base in March.
“In just a few months, easyJet has more than quadrupled its network with flights and package holidays now on sale to 31 destinations, giving passengers even more choice to enjoy popular sunshine getaways and cultural city breaks.
“This investment reflects the strong demand for connectivity from the North East and comes at a hugely exciting time for the Airport. We are on track for a record-breaking summer, with more than 1.4 million passengers expected through our terminal,” he said.

Norwegian is expanding its winter programme in Northern Norway with the launch of a new direct service between Glasgow Airport and Tromsø, one of the Arctic’s most popular winter destinations.
The new route will commence on December 11, 2026 and operate twice weekly throughout the winter season.
Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays, making the route ideal for both long weekends and extended winter breaks.
