Guaranteed peace of mind when travelling with TomTom

TomTomGuaranteed peace of mind when travelling with TomTom – Who says three’s a crowd?

For years it’s been just Linda and me – me and Linda.

And yes, there have been plenty of wrong turns and late arrivals on our travels, sometimes leading to heated debates.

There was that over ambitious drive from Dunkirk to Baden-Baden ending in an early morning search for a hotel, any hotel. It just had to be The Joker that accommodated “the family of the night” and, let is be said, we still think of the staff with great affection.

Another moonlight search, trailing around the back roads at Santa Columba outside Sienna for a holiday villa, brought out the best in our Italian hosts; then there was the night we couldn’t find our way out of Paris.

If only our new travel companion had been on board, things would have been so different.

Since TomTom (so good they named it twice) joined us in the car there’s rarely been a wrong turn (or a cross word) and if there is a driving lapse it’s there with a helpful recalibration to get us back on the right track.

I am about to take the Channel Tunnel en route to La Rochelle in France, stopping off via Tours – and I haven’t got a care in the world. I just know that once I key in our destination we are set for a trouble free journey.

Founded in 1991, TomTom’s Dutch based parent (TomTom.com) is now an international success and a global brand  that has changed the way people drive. It’s certainly made life easier when visiting big cities and towns, delivering your vehicle virtually to the doorstep.

TomTom has kept pace with the astonishing technological advances of the past 25 years, incorporating cutting-edge components to provide accurate and reliable navigation technology. It’s SatNav superiority at its best and is constantly being updated and improved – benefits that can be downloaded from your computer.

So, If you are wondering whether to add another to your travel plans this year, TomTom comes warmly recommended. It sits quietly in the corner of the dashboard, keeping you right on track – and never answers back.
