As summer draws near, The Lavender Fields team are preparing to welcome visitors to their beautiful farm in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.
Opening for the 2025 season on Monday, June 16, this family-run attraction is a must-visit destination for creating unforgettable memories, soaking in spectacular views, and capturing beautiful photographs amidst fields of fragrant blooms.
The Lavender Fields are located just over an hour’s drive from London, nestled outside the charming market town of Alton and set against the ancient Selborne Hanger woodland.
This corner of Hampshire is steeped in literary heritage and close to Chawton, the former home of Jane Austen and where she wrote her six beloved novels. This year marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen‘s birth, with events, exhibitions, and celebrations happening worldwide.
Owned and run by Nick and Lyndsay Butler, The Lavender Fields is situated at Hartley Park Farm. The Butler farming legacy stretches back to the 1930s. Lavender was first planted and farmed here in 1999, and The Lavender Fields have opened annually to the public since 2001.
Whether you’re returning for another peaceful day out or planning your first visit, The Lavender Fields offers an inspiring countryside escape filled with natural beauty, warm hospitality, and the sweet scent of summer.
