Family days dicovering the Peak District – Family days out exploring the delights of the Peak District’s landscape, wildlife and history sound like a great new year resolution.
The Walk-a-Month Calendar 2018 (Derbyshire & the Peak District) has been produced by Yompers, a newly formed digital and print publisher whose mission is to get adults and children alike (re)connecting with the outdoor life.
The calendar features 12 tear-out route-cards – to accompany each month’s photograph.
The route-cards detail carefully chosen short walks (3-6 miles) – with postcodes to get there, step-by-step walk directions, maps, features on each walk, nearby places to visit and recommended post-walk pubs and cafés.
“It’s too easy to take for granted what is on our doorstep. Here in the Peak District, we have more natural beauty, diverse terrains and awesome vistas than you can shake a walking pole at, and, no matter how long you’ve lived here, there are always areas to explore or rediscover,” said Nick Mortimer, Yompers’ founder and MD.
The walks have been chosen to cover a variety of places in or bordering Derbyshire. Some walks are all about nature, others are an excuse for everyone to behave like kids and spend the day scrambling around rocks, while other walks are included for their breath-taking views.
With summaries of the walks, a large appointments area and wallplanner, printed on high quality artboard and papers, the calendar retails at £15.99. For more information or to buy the Walk-a-Month Calendar, visit www.yompers.co.uk or contact hello@yompers.co.uk.
